Team Lamu, Archivist

Lamu was the fourth and final location where Smallbean volunteers taught the Citizen Archivist Project in the summer of 2010. Lamu is an island located in the Indian Ocean just off the coast of eastern Kenya. It sits at the heart of the rich Swahili culture that runs along the coasts of Kenya and Tanzania. The Citizen Archivist Project data contained below was collected by the Citizen Archivists in the class as part of the training in Elangata Wuas.
